Westside Gallery Lofts, a project by Landmark Building Group, originally was to include a six-storey building and an 18-storey tower, containing 500 suites, and supply 56,000 sq.ft. of space to local artists as live/work spaces. The original project was amended to consist of two mid-rise buildings. Phase one is presently under construction, phase 2 is not open yet.
Suites will have some of loft qualities, although ceiling height will be only 9 feet. Translucent glass partitions, exposed concrete ceilings and exposed ducts will provide sleek, modern feel. Building will have a roof top waterfall and hot tub, firness centre and yoga studio, and a party and media room with kitchen.
The units will range in size from 470 to 1,100 sq.ft., with 9-ft exposed concrete ceilings, exposed ductwork, european style kitchens, stainless steel kithen appliances, translucent glass partitions, a choice of concrete or engineered hardwood floors, and balconies. Roof top garden will feature a waterfall and a hot tub, and the building will have a fitness centre, yoga studio and a party/media room.
