Kensington Lofts
160 Baldwin Street and 21 Nassau Street

Located at Spadina south of College, the three buildings that make up Kensington lofts were formerly owned by George Brown College. They are within walking distance to the University of Toronto, and a short streetcar ride to either Queens Park or Spadina subway stations.
The original features include terrazzo floors throughout the hallways and stairways. Interior features include cork, bamboo or hardwood floors, large open concept kitchens and 11 to 20 foot ceiling heights. Many of the lofts feature spiral staircases. The lofts, which total over 140 units, range in size from studios with a sleeping loft, less than 700 sq. ft., to multi-level two bedrooms plus den with spacious terraces, close to 1800 sq. ft.

Solar heating and cooling system reduces the building air conditioning costs by 25-30%. Kensington market is one of the favourite shopping destinations of Toronto's gourmet cooks, with some of the city's best boutiques, specialty shops and international groceries.

Most recent sales range, in Nassau: from $250,000 for a small second floor space without parking or balcony, to $445,000 for a corner penthouse one bedroom plus den, with parking and a private rooftop deck. In Baldwin, the prices ranged from $258,000 for a second floor one bedroom loft without parking to $430,000 for a fourth floor 1190 sq. ft. space with parking and a balcony.
