Abbey Lofts

384 Sunnyside Avenue

Located in the trendy High Park neighbourhood, this is a 24-unit loft conversion of a Neo-Gothic church built in early 20th century. The lofts feature original church stained glass windows. Some of the lofts have exposed limestone walls and some of the two-storey units feature 24-ft high ceilings.

The original church was designed by William George Burns and the construction was finished in 1915. The building is registered under the Ontario Heritage Act.

Loft conversion of the church was done with involvement of ERA Architects, Toronto based firm whose project portfolio includes the conversion of a beautiful 1898 Consumers Gas Station on Front and Parliament into Police Headquarters.
